President Iliana Iotova begins consultations with representatives of the parliamentary groups in the 51st National Assembly within the framework of the procedure for appointing an acting prime minister. Today, she will meet with representatives of the first and second parliamentary forces - GERB-SDS and We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria.

In the meetings held before the consultations with the 10 individuals in positions who, according to the Constitution, can hold the position, five agreed to become acting prime ministers - the Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank Andrey Gyurov, Deputy Ombudsman Maria Filipova, the Chairman of the Audit Office Dimitar Glavchev and the Deputy Chairs Margarita Nikolova and Silvia Kadreva. A few days ago, when asked by journalists about the date for holding the elections, Iliana Iotova said that she would decide after the completion of the constitutional procedure.
