INSAIT with 500,000 USD award for AI development from a technology giant

The INSAIT Institute at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" received half a million dollar award from Google. The award is given for high results achieved in the development of artificial intelligence at the national and international level. The institute indicates that the funds will help with new developments in strategic areas such as computer vision, robotics, machine learning, etc.

In the autumn of last year, INSAIT received another $1 million from the technology giant, as the total amount provided to the Bulgarian institute to that point exceeds $6 million. INSAIT (Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology), located in Sofia, is the first of its kind in Eastern Europe to attract world-renowned researchers in the field of AI and technology.
