Translators from Bulgarian invited for translation and editing hives in Sofia

Sofia Literature and Translation House is once again opening its doors for work between translators, mentors and lecturers in the spring edition of the Literary Translation Studio.

The program offers activities in bilingual translation and editing and afternoon meetings with writers and publishers, panel discussions, individual consultations and thematic events with lecturers. The deadline for applications is February 27, 2026. The Spring Literary Translation Studio will be held from March 18 to 23, 2026. The bilingual hives are aimed at translators of fiction who work or wish to develop as translators from Bulgarian into English, Spanish, Italian, Romanian and Czech. The workshop leaders are: Angela Rodel - English, David Bernstein - Czech; Danilo Manera - Italian; Katalina Puiu - Romanian; Maria Vutova - Spanish.
