Eurobarometer Survey: Most Bulgarians are optimistic about the future

The majority of Bulgarians and EU citizens are optimistic about the future, according to a Eurobarometer survey presented by the European Parliament.
53% of Bulgarian respondents and 57% of other Europeans said they were optimistic about the future of the EU. 55% of Bulgarians and 57% of other EU citizens express optimism about their own country. 74% of Bulgarians and 76% of other Europeans feel optimistic about themselves and their families.
When it comes to the future of the world, 51% of Bulgarians are optimistic, while pessimism prevails among other EU citizens, with 52% expressing concern.
54% of Bulgarian respondents and 66% of other respondents expect the EU to play a greater role in crises and threats. 80% of Bulgarians and 89% of other EU citizens believe EU member states should be more united. 46% of Bulgarians and 62% of other Europeans consider their country’s EU membership to be a good thing. 35% of Bulgarians and 26% of other respondents see it as neither good nor bad.
