My
hope is that a stable majority in the next parliament will reconsider
the changes to the Constitution, which deprived the head of state of
the full right to choose an acting prime minister. This was what
President Iliana Iotova said during consultations with BSP
representatives on the appointment of an acting prime minister.
Fearing
that there could be another parliamentary election and the political
crisis could last for six months or a year, the chairman of the BSP
parliamentary group, Dragomir Stoynev, proposed that after the
consultations, the parliament should adopt a regular budget for 2026
on second reading.
MP
Maya Dimitrova told the president that the left supports the
amendments to the Electoral Code for sections abroad that passed on
second reading in the legal committee.
