After a 12-hour session, the parliament adopted a change to the Electoral Code on second reading. In countries that are not part of the EU, up to 20 polling stations will be formed outside Bulgarian diplomatic and consular representations. "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP - DB) proposed that the number of stations be 100, but this was not supported. Dzheyhan Ibryamov from the "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" proposed that the number of stations outside the EU be 70, but this was also rejected. Gyunay Hyusmen (GERB - SDS) proposed that the number of stations be up to 30. The proposal was not accepted.

Polling stations outside embassies and consulates will be formed if more than 40 applications for voting are submitted. Compared to the last parliamentary vote, the number of stations in Türkiye will be 8 times less. MPs agreed to postpone the introduction of a multi-mandate district "Abroad" until 2028.
