President Iotova holds final consultations before naming caretaker PM

President Iliana Iotova continues meetings with parliamentary groups in the 51st National Assembly ahead of appointing a caretaker Prime Minister. Today, she will meet the three smallest groups – APS, MECH, and “Velichie” – before announcing her choice.

Five of the ten constitutionally eligible candidates have expressed willingness to lead a caretaker government to organize early elections: BNB Deputy Governor Andrey Gyurov, Deputy Ombudsman Maria Filipova, Audit Office Chairman Dimitar Glavchev, and Deputy Chairpersons Margarita Nikolova and Silvia Kadreva.
