Historic win for Bulgaria: Snowboarder Tervel Zamfirov takes Olympic bronze

I am extremely grateful for the chance I had, Tervel Zamfirov says in Sofia

Coventry and Bulgarian Olympic Committee President Vesela Lecheva met in Milan during a gathering of representatives of national Olympic committees. “Coventry offered special congratulations to our medalist Tervel Zamfirov. I told her that for Bulgarians this medal is equivalent to an Olympic title, because it has been long awaited and is very well deserved,” Lecheva said.

Special congratulations on Tervel Zamfirov’s success were also conveyed by a great friend of Bulgaria - Morinari Watanabe, President of the International Gymnastics Federation and an IOC member - who wished Bulgaria further success through the end of the Winter Games.
