Teachers at the Bulgarian School “Vasil Levski” in Southampton have invited parents, children, and friends to join an exciting and inspiring journey through Bulgarian education and spirit. Following the success of last year’s event, dedicated to traditions and customs, the school is opening its doors again—this time to the entire Bulgarian community in Southampton and the surrounding area.

“This year, we continue with the second part of our three-year project—a journey through Bulgaria’s heritage, spirit, and knowledge. The project was born out of love for Bulgarian roots and with our children in mind, so that they remember, take pride, and carry Bulgaria in their hearts”, the school said.

“Together, we will travel back in time—from the monastic schools where letters were taught with faith and love, through the National Revival and post-liberation years, the communist period, and all the way to modern Bulgarian education. We will explore how knowledge preserved our nation and how language continues to shape the future”, the school added.

The event will take place on March 14 at Wildern School, Hedge End, SO30 4EJ.
