In 2025, Bulgarian tourism recorded strong growth in the number of tourists, overnight stays, and revenue, outgoing Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh said, BGNES reported.

According to Mirоslav Borshosh, Bulgaria ranks among the top 10 countries in Europe in tourism growth, with a 5.8% increase. ''This was the year in which Bulgarian tourism fully recovered from the COVID-19 crisis. The number of tourists is 16% higher compared to 2019. There has been a full recovery in the number of both foreign and Bulgarian tourists”, Minister Borshosh added.

“Several key markets recorded strong growth: Türkiye +61%, Israel +30% and Germany +24%. This year, we managed to develop the so-called shoulder season — in addition to the peak months of June, July, and August, we recorded 5% growth in April, 7.8% in May, 5.2% in September, and 11% in October, which is a significant result”, Miroslav Borshosh emphasized.
