Medical University of Sofia awards diplomas to 604 graduates from 33 countries

A total of 604 medical students from the class of 2025 at the Medical University of Sofia received their diplomas and took the Hippocratic oath at a ceremony held at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. Of the graduates, 243 are Bulgarian and 361 are international students from 32 countries. 258 of the young doctors achieved a perfect grade point average.

Completing the six-year course marks the successful culmination of a journey where knowledge meets vocation and efforts become a lifelong mission, said the rector of the Medical University of Sofia, Prof. Dr. Boycho Landzhov.

President Iliana Iotova also attended the ceremony and expressed her appreciation on behalf of the presidential institution for the work of all doctors and their teachers.
