US military transport planes await orders at Sofia Airport

Photos on Facebook show that several US military planes are stationed at Sofia Airport. Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Milen Keremedchiev wrote in Facebook: "Currently, there are 7 US military tanker planes at the airport for refuelling fighter jets in the air, 3 cargo C-17s and C-130s, as well as several Boeing 747s for transporting soldiers. All of them are on their way to Iran. Apparently, it will get very hot there soon."

The US has concentrated forces in the Middle East region to launch air strikes on Iran as early as next weekend. This was reported by US media, citing official sources from the White House and the Pentagon. According to CNN, the Pentagon has informed the White House that the US military will be ready to conduct a military operation over the weekend, BTA reports.
