Author Todor Ovcharov to present his work in Leipzig

The Bulgarian Cultural Association, Bulgarisches Kulturverein Pencho Slaveykov, is organising a meet-the-author event with Todor Ovcharov on 28 February, according to a report by BTA. "In anticipation of the Leipzig Book Fair, we have prepared inspiring readings with Bulgarian authors," says the association's team.

Special guests from Vienna and Bulgaria will include Georgi Bardarov. Rosen Dimitrov, Rosi Trifonova and other Bulgarian writers living in Leipzig will present their work at a Ladies' Club event hosted by the association.

A cocktail reception will be held after the event, along with readings in German and book sales and autograph signing.

Todor Ovcharov lives in Vienna, where he works for FM4, a national radio programme within Austria’s public broadcaster, ORF. Every Wednesday, his podcast Mit Akzent (“With an Accent”) is broadcast on FM4, offering witty and ironic commentary on social issues. A master of satirical storytelling, Ovcharov insightfully writes about Bulgarians and the Balkans, politics and culture, and life between East and West.
