Marin Raykov and Radi Naidenov become deputy foreign ministers

By order of caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov, career diplomats Marin Raykov and Radi Naidenov have been appointed deputy foreign ministers.

Marin Raykov was Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in the caretaker cabinet in 2013. He held the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the period 1998-2001 and 2009-2010. He was Bulgaria's ambassador to France, Italy and the United Kingdom.

Radi Naidenov also has many years of experience in the diplomatic service. He held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs in the caretaker government in 2017, as well as the highest diplomatic position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - permanent secretary. In the period 2001-2002, he was Deputy Minister of Defense. He was ambassador to Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
