On Saturday, the minimum temperature will range from -3°C in Ruse and Silistra to 6°C in Yambol and Kardzhali. In Sofia, the morning temperature is expected to be -1°C. It will be cloudy with rain during the day, with heavier, significant precipitation expected in central and eastern Bulgaria. As temperatures drop, the rain will turn to snow. Icy conditions are expected in the south and east. Moderate and occasionally strong winds will blow from the north-northeast.
Temperatures in most areas will have a small daily range. They will decrease most noticeably in southern Bulgaria. Maximum temperatures will range from 0 °C in Vidin to 8 °C in Sandanski. In the capital, it will be around 0°C.
Along the Black Sea coast, it will be cloudy with rain and snow. There will be strong winds from the north-northeast. Maximum temperatures will vary from 2 °C in the north to 7 °C in Ahtopol. Sea water temperatures will be between 5 and 7°C. The sea will be around force 3 or 4 on the Beaufort scale.
In the mountains, it will be cloudy with significant snowfall in the Rhodopes and the Central Balkans. Strong winds will blow from the south-southeast, later shifting to the northwest and weakening. Blizzards and snowdrifts are likely in the mountain passes. The maximum temperature at 1,200 metres above sea level will be around 0°C and at 2,000 metres it will be -5°C.
On Sunday, there will be almost no precipitation. In western Bulgaria, the clouds will break up and decrease. Daytime temperatures will rise to 8-10°C in some places, while in the east they will remain around 2-3°C.
