''Istoriya Bez Kray'' – Philip Donkov’s second original song

The name of 16-year-old Philip Donkov is associated both with classical music—he is a classical guitarist with numerous awards from international forums—and with pop music. The ninth-grade student at the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov” gained popularity a year and a half ago when he shared his interpretation of the song “Bogatstvo” by the band Tangra on social media. The video received over 3 million likes, which encouraged the young musician to continue uploading videos of his pop performances. His biggest success so far is a video with over 20 million views and 3 million likes. Gradually, he came up with the idea of writing his own original songs.

Following his debut single “Iskra”, Philip now presents the song “Istoriya Bez Kray” (Endless Story). It was created in collaboration with the music producer, guitarist, and arranger Angel Dyulgerov. The idea for their collaboration came from Lubo Kirov. The similar musical tastes of Philip and Angel—including funk, rock, and even metal—led them to create a fusion of their favorite genres and styles. The driving force behind their work is the desire to make real music, because, according to Philip, that is exactly what is missing in most of today’s songs—music and a message.

''The message in ‘Istoriya Bez Kray’ is about unrequited love. A love you know is there, that truly exists, yet somehow things both happen and don’t happen at the same time, and everyone interprets it differently. I was inspired to write this song because of such an experience in my own life'', said Phiip Donkov.

''Istoriya Bez Kray'' is only the beginning of the collaboration between Philip Donkov and Angel Dyulgerov. The two already have more songs prepared, which will be included in Philip’s debut album set for release this spring.
