The Bulgarian Church in London welcomed compatriots for Cheesefare Sunday

The new church "St. John of Rila" in London celebrated one year since its consecration, with the anniversary coinciding with Cheesefare Sunday - a day of forgiveness before the beginning of Lent.

"For a year the church has been filled with people - we have many children, young people, holy sacraments, baptisms, weddings. In other words, we have a living church," said Priest Dobromir and thanked everyone who helped with funds, labour and prayers for the construction of the church, the only newspaper of Bulgarians in England "BG BEN" has reported.
