Weather will be mild for the season on Wednesday, light rain in the east

On Wednesday, minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will range between 1°C and 6°C. In Sofia, the morning temperature is expected to be around 2°C. Throughout the day, cloud cover across the country will be variable; over Eastern Bulgaria it will more often be considerable, with isolated light rainfall. By evening, as temperatures drop, the rain there will once again mix with snow. Western Bulgaria will enjoy longer spells of sunshine. A moderate northwesterly wind will continue to blow.

Daytime highs will range between 7°C and 12°C, reaching about 8°C in the capital.

Along the Black Sea coast, skies will remain overcast with light rain. Maximum temperatures will be between 8°C and 11°C. Sea water temperatures are 4°C to 7°C.

In the mountains, cloudiness will be variable with isolated light precipitation - above roughly 1,700 meters falling as snow. A strong northwesterly wind will blow, temporarily reaching gale force at higher elevations. The maximum temperature at 1,200 meters will be around 0°C, and at 2,000 meters about -6°C.

On Thursday, precipitation will be minimal. By the end of the day, the wind will also subside. Temperatures will drop further, with lows around freezing and highs between 3°C and 8°C.
