Masquerade groups from Bulgaria, Cameroon, Ghana, Romania, Turkey, Greece, and Japan are arriving in Yambol for the 27th edition of the International Masquerade Festival "Kukerlandia", which will take place from February 25 to March 1, 2026. Over the course of five days, the city will welcome more than 7,500 participants and thousands of spectators from across the country.
The program includes the children’s folklore celebration “I Am a Little Kuker” on February 26, a carnival parade for children and adults on February 27, and competitive parades on February 28 and March 1.
The event also features a folklore program, exhibitions, creative workshops, and trade fairs. The festival is organized by the municipalities of Yambol and Tundzha with the support of the European Union under the NextGenerationEU program.
