The Consulate General of Bulgaria in Toronto is organizing celebrations of Bulgaria's National Day, March 3, in several Canadian cities. The Bulgarian flag will be raised in front of municipal buildings in Toronto, Niagara Falls, Mississauga, Brampton, Shipka and Varna (Ontario province), as well as in Regina and New Westminster. The initiative spans the country from its eastern to its western coast, the Consulate General announced on Facebook.
On March 2, Niagara Falls will be illuminated in the colors of the Bulgarian flag.
“With these events, together we will pay tribute to Bulgaria’s history, freedom, and national dignity, and demonstrate the unity of the Bulgarian community in Canada,” the Consulate General in Toronto emphasized.
