The US Embassy calls for implementation of commitments in defence

Allies invest. Allies step up. Allies deliver. This message was spread by the US Embassy in Sofia through its official Facebook page.

The diplomatic mission points out that since joining NATO in 2004, Bulgaria has strengthened collective defence and through investments in modern capabilities manufactured in the United States, including F-16 aircraft, they increase Bulgaria's ability to defend its sovereignty and strengthen NATO's eastern flank.

"As the United States marks 250 years of independence, we reaffirm a simple truth: strong, capable Allies make the Alliance stronger and the world safer." the statement reads.
