The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works will begin a series of meetings with stakeholders on March 5 in Blagoevgrad and on March 6 in Kyustendil regarding the preparation of the new European Territorial Cooperation programmes for the 2028–2034 period, BTA reported.
The consultations aim to acquaint representatives of local communities – including public administrations, cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations and business representatives – with the initial drafts of the programme documents and priorities for the upcoming period.
Bulgaria is expected to continue participating in a total of 12 Interreg programs – as managing authority of the programmes with North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkiye; as national authority of the programmes with Romania and Greece; and as the national contact point for the programmes Black Sea Basin, Danube Region, Euro-Med, Interreg Europe, URBACT, ESPON, and INTERACT.
