Calm and mostly sunny weather expected on March 4

On Wednesday, the lowest temperatures will range from -2°C to 3°C, in Sofia around 1°C. It will be mostly sunny during the day. Fog is expected in some lowland areas before noon. In the afternoon, high and medium cloud cover will increase over Western Bulgaria. The weather will be mostly calm. Maximum temperatures will range from 11°C to 16°C, along the Black Sea coast between 7°C and 10°C, in Sofia around 14°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly sunny, with morning fog in some areas. Light to moderate east-southeast winds are expected. Daytime highs will range from 7°C to 10°C. Seawater temperatures will be between 4°C and 7°C. Sea state 1–2 on the Beaufort scale.

It will be mostly sunny in the mountains. High and medium clouds will increase over the massifs in Western Bulgaria in the afternoon. There will be light to moderate westerly-southwesterly winds. Maximum temperatures will reach around 8°C at an altitude of 1,200 m, and 4°C at 2,000 m.

On Thursday, a weather disturbance will move across the country. Overnight into Thursday, cloud cover will increase, bringing rain in parts of Western and Central Bulgaria and snow above 1,800–1,900 m. There will be a light to moderate northwesterly wind. Minimum temperatures will range from 0°C to 5°C, while maximum temperatures will be between 11°C and 16°C, lower in the higher plains of Western Bulgaria.
