Google Street View is once again beginning a tour across Bulgaria. From March 5 until the end of October, the cars of the global Street View system, equipped with 360-degree cameras, will travel more than 20,000 km to update the images in Google Maps for the country.
The filming will cover more than 30 cities and towns, including Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, Haskovo, Vidin, Vratsa, Pazardzhik, Sandanski, Petrich, Samokov, Yambol, and others. The coverage will include both urban streets and key road connections between settlements that are used daily by travelers, businesses, and tourists.
The decision was made due to the rapid changes in recent years - the construction of new residential neighborhoods, road sections, industrial zones, and public spaces. Updating the data will make it easier to navigate, plan routes, and preview sought-after locations in advance.
