On Thursday, the lowest temperatures will range between 1°C and 6°C, around 4°C in Sofia. During the day, cloud cover will be significant, with rain in many areas in Western and Central Bulgaria. Before noon, more intense precipitation is expected near the western part of the Balkan Mountains, while in the afternoon it will shift toward the Rhodope Mountains. Later in the day, clouds will begin to break up and decrease from the northwest. Winds will turn from the northwest, strengthen, and bring in cooler air. Maximum temperatures will range between 10°C and 15°C, about 10°C in the capital city.
Along the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly cloudy but without precipitation. A light southwesterly wind will blow, later turning west-northwesterly. Daytime highs will be between 9°C and 14°C. Sea water temperatures will range from 5°C to 7°C. Sea state 1–2 on the Beaufort scale.
Mountain areas will see cloudy weather with rain, turning to snow above 1,600 meters. There will be a moderate to strong northwesterly wind. Maximum temperatures will reach about 6°C at an altitude of 1,200 meters and 0°C at 2,000 meters.
On Friday, skies will stay mostly cloudy, particularly across eastern parts of the country, where isolated light showers may occur. Winds will ease and turn from the north-northeast, bringing in colder air.
