Multi Kulti Collective and the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) are looking for 50 migrant and refugee children aged 12–17 from across Bulgaria to receive Bulgarian language support.
The children will meet weekly, either in person or online, with specially trained university students who have completed a 40-hour course at UNWE. The meetings will take place in mentor pairs.
“Our goal is for every child to feel confident, supported and comfortable at school. Participation is completely free of charge,” Multi Kulti Collective wrote on Facebook. The organisation added that the project is co-funded by the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
Multi Kulti Collective is one of Bulgaria’s leading non-governmental organisations and has been working since 2011 to promote the integration of migrants and refugees.
