After marking 25 years on stage with a series of concerts, sisters Julia and Dani from Duet Mania are entering their 26th year with a new song titled “Nyakoi Drug” (Someone Else). The music was composed by Yasmin Isinov and Tsvetan Chobanov. Rado Minev, who has worked with Duet Mania for many years, also contributed to the arrangement. The lyrics were written by Daniela Petkova, expressing the duo’s belief that not everything happens in the material world. People should be more aware and kinder, give love, and pay attention to the spiritual world as well.
Julia Dimitrova says that once again they are singing about love:

“About love, yes—where would we be without love?! As the years go by, we hope that we have become wiser. That’s exactly what we sing about in the song ‘Someone Else’. There are many people and many who are in love, but we should encourage each other, inspire one another, and open ourselves as much as possible. We should show the best of ourselves so that the person standing opposite us can take even a small part of who we are. So be awake, dear people, and let’s awaken the good within us. That is our message—we often speak about this in many of our songs”, says Julia Dimitrova.
Duet Mania is preparing a large national tour, which will start at the beginning of April. It will feature a concert show bringing together the duo’s biggest hits from the past 25 years. In addition to dynamic choreography, dancing, and saxophone performances, there will also be many guest performers, including local ballet formations, vocal schools, and ensembles.
Concerts by Duet Mania always end with a beautiful message: to keep faith in a better future, a better life, and in beautiful Bulgarian music.
