As of 10 March 2026, Bulgaria has sufficient motor fuel stocks, as well as raw materials for its production and processing, to meet normal domestic consumption. Current reserves of petrol, diesel and kerosene are enough to last more than 90 days.

Deputy Finance Minister Stanimir Mihaylov said this during an extraordinary session of the National Assembly on the state’s readiness to supply fuel for the population and industry following the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, BGNES reported.

An interdepartmental commission headed by Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov is monitoring crude oil supplies, fuel stocks and prices on a daily basis. The government is also preparing measures to offset any significant price increases.
