Bulgaria has notified US President Donald Trump that it will
temporarily not implement the statute of the Board of Peace for Gaza.
The regular government of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has
notified the US that according to the Constitution, Sofia cannot
"temporarily" implement the Board of Peace until it is
ratified by parliament.
This is clear from a
written response from caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov to Vasil
Pandov, MP from "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria".
Pandov had asked Rosen Zhelyazkov whether he had notified the US about
this, but he did not receive a response and then the cabinet handed
over power to the caretaker government.
Gyurov explains that
with Decision No. 46 of the Council of Ministers from January to
approve and sign the statute of the Board of Peace, which is subject
to subsequent ratification, the statute was approved as the basis for
negotiations.
