The Bulgarian Employment Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should not block the process of recruiting seasonal workers from third countries. This is what the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA) calls for in a declaration. They claim that there is currently a delay in issuing permits for seasonal workers from Uzbekistan, but there are also problems in attracting employees from other countries outside the EU.

According to BHRA, the problem with issuing work visas for temporary employment of up to 90 days has been existing for years and is getting worse. Workers often arrive in mid-July. Therefore, the Association calls on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs not to repeat the mistakes of past years, but to speed up the process.
