An increasing number of Romanians are traveling to neighboring countries such as Bulgaria and Hungary to fill up with cheaper fuel. Hundreds of cars cross the border with Bulgaria every day so their owners can fill their tanks.

It turns out that gasoline and diesel prices in Romania are between 20 and 30 euro cents higher than in Bulgaria, according to a report by Bulgarian National Television.

According to analysts, a possible end to the hostilities would not lead to a quick recovery of the fuel market. This means that “fuel tourism” is likely to become even more active.
