British Ambassador in Sofia launches “Ambassador for a Day” initiative

The initiative of the British Embassy in Sofia, “Ambassador for a Day,” will be held under the patronage of Bulgarian President Iliana Iotova. She is supporting the competition for the ninth consecutive year, which encourages girls from across Bulgaria to take part in public life.

Until April 8, girls aged 15 to 19 who wish to participate in the initiative must submit a short essay answering the question:
“If you were an ambassador for a day, how would you help make Bulgaria a safer place for women and girls - at home, online, and in public life?”

The winners will have the opportunity to take part in the daily work of President Iliana Iotova and HE Nathaniel Copsey, and to meet representatives of the legislative and executive branches, as well as members of civil society and the business community.
