Heavy outbound truck traffic at Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint

Traffic in the morning hours of February 13 is heavy at the “Kapitan Andreevo” border checkpoint for outbound trucks, the Border Police report.

Traffic at the border with Romania is normal at all crossings. Traffic across the Danube Bridge near Ruse has resumed following emergency repairs to the asphalt road. Traffic is also normal at the border crossings with Greece, North Macedonia and Serbia.

Heavy trucks over 12 tons will be restricted on road II-84 between Yakoruda and Razlog from 8:00 am on March 13 (Friday) until 18:00 am on March 14 (Saturday) due to asphalt repairs, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced. Traffic will be redirected along an alternative route.

Over the past 24 hours, 14 serious road accidents occurred in the country, resulting in one death and 14 injuries, reported the Traffic Police. Since the beginning of the year, 70 people have died in traffic accidents.
