Truck traffic at the border with Turkey remains busy

Traffic at “Kapitan Andreevo” and “Lesovo” border crossings with Turkey at the exits for trucks remains intense, the Border Police announced at 6 a.m. on March 16. Traffic at the border crossings with Romania is normal. Traffic across the Danube Bridge near Ruse takes place in stages in one lane, due to planned repairs. Traffic is normal at the border crossings with Greece, Serbia and North Macedonia.

Until March 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the day, the markings in the section at the junction of the Northern Speed Tangent and the Sofia Ring Road will be renovated. Drivers there should be extra careful, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced. Traffic will not be restricted. In 11 serious accidents in the country over the past 24 hours, 12 people were injured, no deaths were reported, the Traffic Police said. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 1,014 significant accidents with 73 deaths and 1,273 injuries.
