Bulgaria participates in the 8th European HTI Summit in Brussels

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siyka Katsarova, President of the European SPA Association and Chair of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, will participate in the European Health Tourism Summit (HTI European Summit 2026). This event will take place on 17 March 2026 at the European Parliament building in Brussels, ESPA has announced.

Dr Katsarova will contribute to discussions on the development of preventive health, balneology, and Europe’s potential as a leading health tourism and longevity destination. According to the website bgtourism.bg, Bulgarian MEP Andrey Novakov will also participate in the discussions.

Key topics of the meeting include strengthening cross-border health cooperation in Europe, developing preventive medicine and balneology, promoting longevity-related tourism, and supporting regional economies through year-round health tourism.
