Bulgaria and Jordan are exploring ways to strengthen their agricultural cooperation, focusing on trade, technology and the exchange of expertise.

This topic was discussed at a meeting in Amman between Metin Kazak, Bulgaria’s ambassador to Jordan, and Saeb Khreisat, Jordan’s agriculture minister.

Mr Kazak highlighted Bulgaria’s strengths in grain production, seeds, dairy products and food processing, and its capacity to export agricultural machinery and technology.

Mr Khreisat, for his part, expressed interest in closer ties, particularly with regard to irrigation, livestock farming and expert exchange programmes.

The two sides also discussed ways to boost trade in agricultural goods, including by lowering transport costs and encouraging Jordanian participation in agricultural exhibitions in Bulgaria.

Minister Khreisat was invited to visit Bulgaria to explore cooperation opportunities on the ground.
