DARA’s journey to the Eurovision Song Contest continues. The official video for Bulgaria’s entry, “Bangaranga”, has been released. The video features dancers partially dressed as chaushi, a type of kukeri (mummers) from Razlog. When she first presented the song on public service broadcaster BNT, DARA explained that “Bangaranga” was inspired by the Bulgarian mummers.
Bulgaria to participate again in Eurovision Song Contest in 2026
Following the release of the official video, DARA and Bulgaria are ranked 14th in bookmaker odds. Finland leads the preliminary predictions, followed by France, Denmark, Greece, and Sweden.
In Vienna, DARA will perform in the second semi-final on May 14, representing Bulgaria with “Bangaranga”. The grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place on May 16.
On social media, DARA revealed that she is collaborating with the renowned director Fredrik Rydman on the staging of “Bangaranga.”
