The Ministry of Agriculture, the Food Safety Agency (FSA) and the Ministry of the Interior are launching the campaign "Clean Food". This was stated by caretaker Minister of Agriculture Ivan Hristanov at a briefing after the government meeting.

The head of the FSA, Dr. Angel Mavrovski, announced that he was convening a crisis headquarters due to the foot-and-mouth disease detected in animals in Greece. He said that the situation on the borders is uncontrolled, which requires the construction of checkpoints 30 km. inland. Animals sent illegally from Greece to Romania have already been stopped. Deputy Director of the "National Police" Tsvetan Yotsov specified that everyone who transports live animals will be checked at the checkpoints.
