A
concert by Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Nayden
Todorov and soloist - virtuoso Bulgarian percussionist Vivi
Vassileva, will be held on March 19 in Bulgaria Hall. A powerful
dialogue between percussion instruments and the orchestra, as well as
between ancient legends and contemporary vibrations is coming, the
Philharmonic Orchestra announced.
Vivi,
who is the sister of famous violinist Vasko Vassilev, will present
"Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra" by Danny Elfman.
The concert is like a philosophical interaction between tradition and
improvisation - cultures and rhythms that collide, mix and embrace.
The
second part of the evening is dedicated to the eternal beauty of the
Symphonic Suite "Scheherazade" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
