Opportunities for providing specialized equipment, decommissioned in Bulgaria, with the potential to be used in support of the Ukrainian energy system were discussed by caretaker Minister of Energy Traycho Traykov and the Ambassador of Ukraine to Sofia, Olesya Ilashchuk, the ministry has reported.
The
Ukrainian ambassador expressed gratitude for the humanitarian and
financial support provided by Bulgaria through the EU Civil
Protection Mechanism. The importance of the nine transformers that
the state will provide for the restoration of one of the Ukrainian
power plants was pointed out.
The
importance of gas corridors for ensuring security of supplies was
also highlighted. The Trans-Balkan Gas Corridor, which creates
conditions for strengthening Ukraine's energy security, was cited as
a good example.
