The
rise of fuel prices is putting strong pressure on the transport
sector in Bulgaria and making it difficult for carriers to work.
Companies are facing shortage of capital and difficulties in
renegotiating prices with customers.
The increased costs are already
starting to be passed on to final prices, Dimitar Dimitrov, executive
director of the Chamber of Road Carriers, told Bloomberg TV Bulgaria.
The
lack of adequate measures by the state further complicates the
situation.
The
increase in transport costs is already leading to an increase in the
prices of goods and food, Dimitrov added.
