The astronomical spring arrives with chilly weather and scattered light showers

On Friday, the lowest temperatures will range between 0°C and 5°C, around 1°C in Sofia. It will be mostly cloudy, with light rain in some areas. In the morning, in the Pre-Balkans and higher plains, the rain will mix with snow. Winds will be light, becoming moderate to strong from the north-northeast in Eastern Bulgaria. Maximum temperatures will range from 7°C to 12°C, around 6°C –7°C in the capital city.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be cloudy, with rainfall in the southern regions. There will be moderate to strong easterly and northeasterly winds. Daytime highs will be between 8°C and 11°C. The seawater temperature is 7°C-8°C. Sea state around 3–4 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, it will be cloudy, with light snow showers in many areas. There will be moderate to strong northeasterly winds. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 0°C, at 2,000 meters −6°C.

Saturday will see little chance of rain, mostly in the far southeast. Temperatures will rise slightly, with daytime highs between 7° and 12°C. On Sunday, it will be mostly cloudy, with rain in lowlands and snow in the mountains, but no significant amounts are expected.
