Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov stated before the European Union Summit in Brussels that Bulgaria would support any actions that would help calm the situation in the Middle East.

''This is a conflict in which neither NATO nor the EU are currently involved'', Andrey Gyurov emphasized, adding that Bulgaria would support the common position of de-escalation and the search for a solution to halt military actions and ease all tensions.

“The position we have defended from the very beginning of the caretaker government is that Bulgaria needs to be moving full steam ahead in Europe, and we will support all stances that would make the European Union stronger”, Premier Gyurov added.
