From
March 20 to 22, the 8th European Citizens' Panel is being held in
Brussels with the participation of 150 randomly selected EU citizens.
The citizens will debate the topic of population preparedness in
times of crisis, BTA reports.
There
are four participants from Bulgaria - from Sofia, Burgas, Isperih and
the village of Rebarkovo, said Kristina Yordanova, manager of the
HALO Foundation.
The
panel will discuss how Europe and the population can better
anticipate and prepare for various types of crises such as extreme
weather conditions, pandemics, prolonged power outages, cyber
attacks, hybrid threats, etc.
An
online session with the same participants will be held at the end of
April. In May there will be another panel in Brussels, where
citizens' recommendations on the topic will be combined.
