Cloudy weekend with rain and snow in the mountains expected in Bulgaria

On Saturday, minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will range between 0°C and 5°C, dropping to around -2°C in the higher valley fields of Western Bulgaria. In Sofia, temperatures are expected to be around -1°C.

During the day, it will be mostly cloudy, with temporary breaks in cloud cover over western regions. Light rain is expected in isolated areas.

Maximum temperatures will range between 8°C and 13°C, with around 8°C expected in the capital.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be cloudy with rainfall. Winds will be moderate to strong from the east-northeast. Maximum temperatures will range from 9°C to 12°C.

In the mountains, it will be cloudy, with light snowfall in isolated areas, mainly in the Balkan Mountains and the Rhodopes. Winds will be moderate, and strong in higher parts of the Eastern Balkan Mountains and the Eastern Rhodopes, coming from the northeast. Maximum temperatures at 1,200 meters will be around 1°C, and at 2,000 meters around -5°C.

On Sunday, it will remain mostly cloudy, with rain in Northern and Eastern Bulgaria and snow in the mountains, though no significant precipitation is expected. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged.
