The Bulgarian Embassy in Mexico took part in the International Children’s and Young Adult Book Fair FiLiAZ in Mexico City, where the European Union was the guest of honor. This was announced by the mission on its Facebook page.

As part of the fair, a workshop on the Cyrillic alphabet was organized with students from public primary schools. The children learned more about the history of the alphabet, created in the 9th century and used today in a number of countries across Europe and Asia.

The Bulgarian program also featured the artist and children’s book illustrator Ina Hristova. She led a creative workshop for children focused on imagination and the creation of new worlds through drawing. The following day, Hristova also conducted a professional seminar for specialists in the fields of illustration, art, and design.

The participation is part of the European Union’s cultural program at the fair, which brings together authors, publishers, and young readers from different countries.
