India’s Ambassador Arun Kumar Sahu to present his poetry in Sofia
The bilingual poetry collection “Light Green Eyes” by the Indian diplomat will be presented on March 24 at the National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”

The bilingual poetry collection “Light Green Eyes” by Indian diplomat, writer, and scholar Arun Kumar Sahu will be presented on March 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” in Sofia.
The book includes poems written between 2022 and 2025 and explores universal human themes such as love, longing, struggle, separation, and loss. The translation from English and the author’s biographical notes are by writer and translator Zdravka Evtimova, who will also share her interpretation of the poetic works.
The event is organized by the Indological Foundation “East-West” and the National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius.”
H.E. Arun Kumar Sahu has nearly 29 years of diplomatic experience, involving work and travel in various countries. Since the beginning of 2025, he has been the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia.
