We support efforts to demine the Strait of Hormuz, Foreign Minister says

What is happening in the Strait of Hormuz - the blocking of freedom of navigation, is absolutely unacceptable under all international agreements and laws. The war against Iran will be decided mainly in the Strait of Hormuz, caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Nadezhda Neynsky told Nova TV.

Bulgaria is also in the process of joining the declaration of readiness to participate in efforts to guarantee freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and to take steps to stabilize energy markets, Neynsky said. This is a political declaration and this does not mean that we would join in demining the Strait of Hormuz. But we support efforts to find a way to avoid obstruction of commercial shipping, Neynsky added. There is no problem with the supply of oil and gas to Bulgaria. We do not supply oil products through the Strait of Hormuz, but through the Black Sea. We have long-term contracts with Azerbaijan, which are at prices much lower than the current ones, Neynsky pointed out.
