The German industrial group Liebherr is making one of its largest investments in Bulgaria, investing EUR 90 million in a new production and logistics facility in the Trakia Economic Zone. More than 600 new jobs will be created, said Dieter Pflanzer, Managing Director of Liebherr-Transportation Systems Maritsa.
A large production hall spanning 42,000 square meters will house the operations of two companies from the group. The launch of the first production line is scheduled for May 2026, and full production capacity is expected to be reached by mid-2027, Dieter Pflanzer added.
The climate control and concrete equipment produced at the new facility will be exported to all European countries and the Middle East. Aerospace components will be supplied directly to major global aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus and Brazil’s Embraer.
