The 18th edition of the Bulgarian Film Festival will take place from March 25 to 28 in Prague, Czechia. Organized by the Embassy of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Prague, the event will present six contemporary Bulgarian feature films with Czech and English subtitles.

This year’s program features stories of individuals striving to preserve their dignity under pressure—whether from social stigma, corruption, aging, or personal crises, according to praguereporter.com.

The festival will open on March 25 with the film “Birthday” by director Ivaylo Penchev, who will attend along with actress Meglena Karalambova. A highlight of the program is the work of director Stefan Komandarev, including titles "Made in EU, “The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner”, and “Blaga’s Lessons.”

Some of the screenings will be accompanied by meetings with directors and actors.
